Matt and the new kitchen

Matt got one of his Christmas presents early since Aunt Ann won't be in town over the holidays.  It's proven to be a very popular toy.  Thanks Ann!

Catching up before Christmas...

Well, it's been almost a month since I posted, and longer since new Lily pics went up, so I thought I better catch up a little in that department before we roll into the full on chaos of the holiday season.

That second kid seems to have added a layer of chaos never seen before, but watching Matt and Lily interact is so much fun. Matt's still loving his little sister, and Lily lights up when her attention locks on Matt doing something goofy.

Lily is growing like a little Virnig weed, last night at her 2 month checkup she was 12lbs40z, and 23.25" long. Her reflux stuff seems to be getting better week by week, but she seems to be sensitive to some foods, so Jamie is currently off of milk, eggs and chocolate. Thank god she doesn't have a sensitivity to wine, or I'm not sure Jamie would make it.

Anyway, here's what everyone has been asking for, more pictures!

Everybody bouncing on the ball.

Plugged!

Hmmmm..There appears to be something in your nose...

Auntie Kate stopped by for a visit.

Playing with little sister.

Prefered napping position.

Staring contest with Auntie Tina.

Taking a little nap with Auntie Linda

I love how Matt's still just enjoying himself in this one.

How incredibly cute lily is getting, and how alarmingly bald I'm getting...

Checking out big brother's toys.

They both look happy here!

Being sweet with little Sister.

Tummy time!

Trying to entertain her as usual.

 Still napping on Daddy.

 Hi Mommy!

 Making Thanksgiving Turkeys!

 "What?"

Jamie's Family accompanied us the day after Thanksgiving to the tree farm to get a real tree again this year.  Before we even made it through the parking lot, Matt scored a Candy Cane of the Santa.
I'm not responsible for this scarf.

Looking for a tree is Grandma and Auntie Ann.

The tree is bundled and ready to go!

 "Come on Grandpa, this way!"

Can't see much of Lily this year in the group photo.

 All lit up!

Just after a diaper change.

 Snowglobe capturing the baby's  attention.

 What a clown.

 Getting ready for Christmas.

This is one of about 40 pictures we took.  Only one with both kids smiling.

Chilling with Dad.
Notice the red line on his forehead.  Time for a new hat...

This one was taken yesterday.  Getting so cute.

Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving.  I'm taking some time off during the holidays, so hopefully holiday pictures will be posted soon after new years.

Jeepin' 2.0

Matt's gotten much better at driving since the first video.  It took me a while to find the right music for this one, but I think I nailed it.

Enjoy Jeepin' 2.0

Halloween 2011

Another successful Halloween, the first one with two children.  Matt was going to be Farmer Brown, and Lily a cow, but in the ensuing mayhem of trying to get two kids organized Matt wound up a Monkey during trick or treating and Lily never made it all the way into the cow costume.

We did however get out and trick or treat with Matt from my parents house and he got enough candy to sugar rush him every day for about 3 months.
Trick or Treat practice run!

We went out to the pumpkin patch the week before, and Matt and I carved up the pumpkins last Sunday night.  (Nothing like waiting until the last minute huh?)

Swinging with GranDan

He looks way to natural sitting there doesn't he?

"I got one guys!"

First step, assemble the correct tools for pumpkin carving.

Pumpkin guts!

The pumpkin collection

We bought the big pumpkin with the idea that we could drop Lily in there for some cute pictures.  The first attempt was Sunday right after we carved them.  Lily was not amused
Unhappy baby!

Luckily she was in a better mood on Halloween and Jamie got some good pictures.
Hmmm... This pumpkin might have been too big.

A little padding helps.

Time for a nap.

Lily continues to grow, she saw the doctor last week, and is now 10lbs 14oz and 22.25in long.  This kid is much more of a crier than Matt ever was, and for the most part isn't happy unless someone is holding her, usually in combination with walking or bouncing her on the exercise ball.

Passed out baby.

Car rides are especially rough. This is how Matt has to ride in the car.
"Make her stop!"

We do get a few minutes a day in the bouncy chair.

Between the 18 hours a day of sleeping and the 5.5 hours of crying, we get 1/2 hour every day of this kid.
Happy Girl!

Poppy investigating during a quite baby moment.

Matt's new favorite discovery, root beer in the bottle.  One bottle lasts about a week.  Pretty nasty by the end...
