Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody. Matthew decided it would be a good day to show some pride in his Irish heritage.

Last Friday Matthew had his two month check-up. Monday he had his specialty snarfy checkup and was declared healthy.

The Stats -
Weight - 14lbs 4oz
Length - 25inches
Number of shots - 3
Volume of crying (1-10) - 9.5

He survived it well and we learned he likes the flavor if infant Tylenol.
At the end of the day he got to nap on Mom, which is the important thing.

Matthew is continuing to learn to play with toys, and to try and figure out how to coordinate his appendages. He's also learning how to vocalize, which is exciting. Soon he'll learn to talk as much as the rest of my relatives though, then we'll just be wishing he'd be quiet.

Every once in a while Matthew decides he's had enough of the Papparazzi again.

Matthew was taking up a little too much room in our bed, so he got to graduate to the "side car" bed. As with most Virnig projects, it's overbuilt. 3/4" plywood to hold the 15lb kid. He likes it and seems to sleep better in it.

I have been practicing my ventriloquism techniques.

At the end of the day, sometimes he's just had enough.

And it's always a good day to cuddle with Craig.

Seriously, I don't think I have seen a baby smile as much as Matt. You both are truly blessed. I have to say that I love, LOVE the ventriloquist photo! A person would have to be made of stone to not smile at that.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

The ventriloquist photo just goes to show how much he truly resembles Kermit the frog with the great toothless smile and round froggy belly.
Glad to see he will grow up appreciating his wild Irish side

Matthew has the cutest smile! You are so blessed to have such a sweet and (almost always) happy baby. I like the side-car too. I wonder how soon he'll outgrow it. Maybe you could just attach a toddler bed to the side of your bed in a couple months. Or to just give you more time, you could just have a room of beds. 2 kings side-by-side.

I think the side car bed is a brilliant idea--I don't know if you thought that up yourselves or just stole the idea but I think it is great--oh--by the way--very cute baby too!

I had to sign in as anonymous because I forgot Don's password so I just re-signed in on my own

You know, I was having a tired, dragging-myself-through kind of day. Then I logged on and saw that smiley baby, and my whole day brightened up. And Jake, the talking is nothing...it's when they start WALKING that you need to worry! Glad we'll get to see the "real thing" soon.
