Biking

Continued construction has kept me busy and I haven't posted much, but I don't intend to let the blog die entirely!

Matt has learned to ride his bike with no training wheels!  An event of this importance warranted a post.  He was so excited after the ride that he called pretty much everyone in Jamie's phone. Video from Day 1 :

Less than a week later he has graduated from the small bike to a bigger bike.  Yes I know it's a girls bike, but it was free and so far he doesn't know the difference.  Poor Lily wasn't quite big enough to ride Matt's old glider, so I found a real glider bike for her that's a bit lower.  So far she hasn't quite got the hang of it, but she's getting there.

And now a few out of sequence, random pictures to show how much the Monkey's are growing.

This was just the other day.  I'm impressed Jamie managed to lift them both.  They're getting BIG!

Matt, checking the quality of the construction
This is grandan's $100 hotub.  The kids love it.

A little dip in the sound.  Much cooler than GranDan's hottub

Volcanos!

What a nut.

Auntie's co-worker has a horse and lives near us.  She's been giving the kids "lessons"  Matt looks thrilled bacause he wants Lily OFF.

Camp redneck.  Hope fully to be abandoned for an indoor kitchen by fall.

Matt and Lily did a little construction of their own.

He looks like a grumpy drowned rat, but he had tons of fun in the rain, racing through it falling off the roof.  Gutter will be on soon though!

This is what happens when you let him have the camera on the drive home.

Working at the beach

Jamie and the kids caught a caterpillar.  They're waiting for it to turn into a butterfly.  I'm betting moth.

More riding, this time trail riding

Matt's Leading, Lil's riding a 1200lb horse.  What could go wrong?

Competition style!

ICE CREAM!

Matt helping pull wire.

Matt played to hard and didn't nap.  Lily took a 3.5 hour nap, so she got to hang out by the fire.

Checking out the seals.

Working hard, drilling holes.

Not quite sure what Lily's thinking there....

It doesn't happen very often, but every once in a while they both just sit.  They must have sat there for 10 minutes or so, both just looking at the water.

Jamie and the kids found grandan's cookie stash.  Behold the Happy Cookie Dance -

Lily has learned to use the swing in the basement all by herself -
