Another one joins "The Herd"!

Well, Matthew was officially inducted into "The Herd" this weekend. Sadly, "The Herd" had to move on for a less noisy place, so they migrated a few miles to Gramma's for her 60th birthday.

Matthew got his first bottle last week, and is definately enjoying the occasional "top up" that Dad can now provide. Man can this kid eat. Most babies eat, then give that cute little burp and some spitup. Not our son. First of all, spitup is wasting food. Not to be done around here apparently. He manages belches that cause "Was that him or you?" to be a commonly heard phrase at our house.

Matthew's been spending some time getting used to the Pack N' Play, and his Ergo baby so Mom can have the use of her hands.

Sunday Drew and Ben came over to help make some beer. Ben was quite enthusiatic about helping.

Sunday night we went to the grandparents for dinner. We had to get Matthew ready in his new shirt. I think he likes it.

Poppy took to Matthew right away, and decided he was hers. At one point she was trying to give him "High 5" as he was flopping the arms around.

Matthew's not so sure about Poppy though...

It was pretty funny how protective she got. He even needed defending from Mom...

Last night Matthew had his 1st real diaper blowout, which subsequently lead to his 2nd real bath. No pictures, you can thank me later.

Lastly, the weekly Craig the bear pic. Good lord he's getting big and he's not quite 5 weeks! That's a 6M outfit.

Well, he just keeps getting cuter.  I love the little half smile in the one picture--reminds me a lot of GranDan.  I don't think he likes the animal clothes--the cow jacket is getting that, "Are you trying to make a fool out of me?" look... but the bottle is getting that "Aha! A new food source!" look!Glad to hear that Poppy is making herself useful.  She probably knows the pecking order took a dramatic turn, and she needed to make some radical adjustments to maintain even a modicum of rank.Keep the pictures coming--looking forward to seeing him in person soon, I hope!Love, Tina

The cow picture is cute but don't you have an otter outfit for this kid? His little face is filling out enough that he looks like a baby now and not a newborn. I agree with Tina keep the pictures coming.
